AAA Clam Shell Alkaline Battery Case for TERA TR-500 and TR-590 Commercial Handheld Radios

Bought these for the TR-505 radio as an alternate way to power the unit in the event I was unable to recharge the rechargeable battery that comes with the unit...i.e. power grid down, lack of sun for solar panels, out in the woods, etc.
These clam shell battery packs fit the unit well and go on without any issue. No modifications needed.
They're molded from what appears to be the same tough plastic material the radio housing cases are made from.
My only 'con' and the reason for 4 of 5 stars is that they're difficult to open to put batteries into. They're very secure. This is a good thing, but also a bit of a nuisance. I had to use a small flat head screw driver on my pocket multi-tool to pry it open, with a bit of a twist, where they indicate it to open in order to pop the cover off to get to the batteries. Because of this it might be worth running lithium batteries instead of alkalines just to get the most out of your batteries and minimize having to pop it open to replace AAA's as often.
